Denzil Nathan David LEVY

  Noted events in his life were:

1. Honorary Doctorate: Doctor Technologiae (Honoris Causa), 2 Feb 2010, Port Elizabeth Technikon. The Port Elizabeth Technikon has bestowed an honorary doctorate in technology on Dr Denzil Levy (BArch 1941) who, at 93, is seven years short of being a centenarian. A leading Port Elizabeth philanthropist in arts and culture, Levy was awarded the Doctor Technologiae (Honoris Causa) for "service of excellence in the interest of the community in the fields of statesmanship, culture, society, politics, education, economics, arts and other walks of life".

2. Buried, 14 Nov 2017, North End Cemetery, Port Elizabeth.

Denzil married Theodas DAVIDSON, daughter of David DAVIDSON and Rebecca SIEW, on 6 Aug 1944 in Bloemfontein, Free State, South Africa. (Theodas DAVIDSON was born on 12 Jul 1919 in Bloemfontein, Free State, South Africa, died on 3 Jan 2007 in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa and was buried in North End Cemetery, Port Elizabeth.)
