Dr Siamon GORDON

  Noted events in his life were:

1. Career. Dr. Siamon Gordon received his Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Cape Town in South Africa and went on to receive his Doctorate in Life Sciences from The Rockefeller University in New York City. He became an Assistant Professor and an Associate Physician in the Department of Cellular Physiology and Immunology at The Rockefeller University. Dr. Gordon held the position of Professor in Cellular Pathology at the University of Oxford's Sir William Dunn School of Pathology from 1989 until his retirement at the end of 2008. He also served as a Senior Visiting Scientist to the National Institute of Health from 2009 to 2010. His most recent honor was in 2007 as a Fellow of the Royal Society. Dr. Gordon has over 55 publications on which he has been the lead investigator or contributor in his 40-plus years of practicing research.

Siamon married Lyndall GETZ, daughter of Harry GETZ and Rhoda Stella PRESS, in 1963 in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. (Lyndall GETZ was born about 1943 in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.)
