Bernard Gordon GRIFF

He was a scholar of St. Peter's College. He passed the junior public examination in 1919. the senior public in 1920, and the higher public in 1921. He thcn took the law at the Unlversity, from 1922 to 1923. He was one of the first who has graduated in law at the University of Adelanide.

3. National Army. From 18 Jun 1940 to 31 Jan 1946 Bernard served in the Australian Army. In 1841 and saw service in Beirut, Syria and Damascus, being taken prisoner in the fall of Singapore and spent over three years in Java 1942.

4. Profession. Bernard was a Barrister.

5. Buried, 8 May 1961, Centennial Park Cemetery, Adelaide.

Bernard married Esther KOODAK, daughter of Max KOODAK and Rachel RAWTAWSKI, on 1 Dec 1958 in Temple Beth Israel, Melbourne. (Esther KOODAK was born in 1914 in Australia, died on 21 Mar 1966 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and was buried on 23 Mar 1966 in Fawkner Hebrew Cemetery Melbourne.)
